It has truly been an honor and a privilege to have served the women of Colorado Springs and the surrounding area for over 45 years. I have known many of you for an extended period of time, and I feel as though you are like family. I have truly loved my work, and I would like to continue until I am 100, but now, at age 80, I have made the decision to retire. It is with great sadness that I have taken this step, but it is time. I will truly miss seeing so many wonderful ladies on a daily basis. However, with this decision, I will have more time with my wonderful wife and family, and I will also finally be able to pursue my long considered desire to author a book, titled “Women’s Health, Mid-life and Beyond”. There is so much that is new, and management opinions have changed for this category of women. There has not been enough information for ladies who are mid-life or beyond to make informed decisions about how to stay healthy and enjoy life to the fullest. My desire is to continue serving by compiling information for ladies in these stages in book form. Hopefully, my learning, experience, and advice will allow me to continuing to serve.
Meanwhile, I still care deeply for all of you, and therefore I will recommend other physicians that can continue the highest level of care for my patients.
Dr. Christian York is an excellent Gynecologist who will be sent my records. He is a very talented gynecologist and surgeon with great ethical standards and abilities. He also has an emphasis on the care of ladies in mid-life and beyond, including menopausal management. Sadly, too many ob-gyns are not as well versed as they should be in that area. My daughter, Dr. Caroline dePrisco MD, is also an ob-gyn, and last year was voted by our peers as TOP DOC in Colorado Springs in her specialty. I recommend her also, but she just married, and is on sabbatical for now. It will be at least six months, or perhaps longer before she returns to practice. She will be with a new practice when she returns, so search her on the internet.
Other excellent ob-gyns in our area include Dr. Mathew Dunham, Dr. Scott Russell, and Dr. Cher Moseman. Top notch, each one. With this list of excellent practitioners, I am sure you will continue to get the highest level of care.
